The 2024 Luigi De Rosa Lecture on Global History will be delivered on December 10, 5.00 pm, by Ivo Maes, Professor and Robert Triffin Chair at KU Leuven and Non-resident fellow at Bruegel
The topic chosen is: "The Werner Report, The Delors Report and the birth of the euro"
The event will be held at Scuderie di Palazzo Altieri, via Santo Stefano del Cacco,1
The Luigi De Rosa Lecture on Global History is a memorial lecture established in 2014 at the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the death of the founder of The Journal of European Economic History. The Lecture takes place in December every year at Palazzo Altieri, Rome.
Luigi De Rosa (2004) was one of the most authoritative economic historian of the XXth Century. His works on banking and finance renewed both contents and methodology of Economic History. He taught Economic History in many countries including Argentina, China, Spain, the United States. His bibliography includes more than 600 entries.
