The Mattei Plan and the banks for Africa

The Italian banking sector can contribute, through the Mattei Plan, to enhancing the potential of the African continent. To this end, it is necessary that the public resources allocated by the Plan (5.5 billion euros over four years) operate hand in hand with private finance, to also intercept the potential for exports and internationalization that Italian companies (in particular Smes) have not yet expressed. With this in mind, the Italian Banking Association has developed concrete initiatives to optimize the offer of financial services for export credit by its members, to create conditions of greater efficiency for companies operating on international markets.
